The Breadfall Leichhardt

Following on from the success of the original Breadfall in Bondi Westfield, Harris Farm partnering with The Bread & Butter Project were committed to installing a Breadfall into their newly refurbished Leichhardt store.

Like Bondi Westfield, the Leichhardt Breadfall displays all the delicious loaves of bread freshly baked each day on site. The Leichhardt Breadfall is our smallest to date, measuring at only 2450mm high. It may be small, but it still has all the bells and whistles. Well… the bells anyway. Each Breadfall bay is fitted with a bicycle bell which rings each time a loaf of bread is dispensed. We like to inject a little playful humour into the functionality of our machines.

Each Breadfall is an opportunity to customise the design to reflect the client’s brand, showcase the products they offer and facilitate sales. We customised the Leichhardt Breadfall by reducing the height of the loading at the rear, adding stainless steel studs to the timber trays to eliminate slippage and reducing the overall height to accommodate the lower ceiling height.

The Leichhardt Breadfall was installed after the major refurbishment was completed. To reduce the interruption to trading, we assembled the framework and all components in the adjacent carpark. Once completed, the Breadfall was forklifted to Harris Farm’s front door and wheeled through the store to its permanent location.

Clients benefit from our hands-on approach, knowing we are the constant in the design process. We develop a design responding to the client’s brief, manufacture and install the project to completion. Our in-depth knowledge of construction means we can challenge a design and ensure the results go beyond the client’s expectations.

It is always a great compliment for a client to come back, following the success of a previous project. Working on the Breadfall for The Bread & Butter Project at Harris Farm’s Leichhardt store shows that the small can be mighty.
